This unit can manage to monitor up to four
people with one alarm receiver. The system
will alert you for convulsive movements (as well
as more mild-type movements), cessation of
breathing and bed absence.
Convulsive movement activity (such as a
seizure) is relayed to the care provider via the
Wireless Alarm Receiver. You only need one
ST1-RX alarm receiver to monitor up to four
ST1 units.
The Bed Motion Alarm System is suitable for
use by all age groups including babies and
young children as well as adults and elderly
persons.
The ST-1 uses a sensor sheet that is
positioned between the mattress and box
spring, resting in the center of the user's bed
(under the heaviest part of the user’s body). A
one time setup procedure MAY BE required to
fine tune the senor to suit the users breathing
movements and type of bed. This information
is stored in the monitor’s memory. The setup
procedure takes only a few seconds and can
be quickly reset if the monitor is required for
use with a different person. The ST-1 will then
reliably monitor the user for breathing and
convulsive movement activity.
