Who is this monitor suited for?
The person being monitored must weigh a
minimum of 56lbs, and use a small mattress
such as a twin. IF the mattress is thick, or the
bed is large, we recommend the MP5-TWIN as
it comes with two sensors and offers the same
system features and functions.
The MP5 system is easy to use and offers
peace of mind for the user (patient) and the
care giver.
Simply plug in the monitor, position the sensor
between the mattress and box spring (under
the heaviest part of the user’s body) turn on the
pagers and set the sensitivity controls. The
system is simple and reliable.
The MP5 has been in use since 1996, helping
thousands of parents, caregivers and families
detect abnormal bed movements such as
nocturnal convulsive seizures. The bed monitor
will communicate with the wireless pagers up
to a distance of approximately 320 feet.
The Monitor's control settings include:
- Motion Sensitivity
- Sound Sensitivity
- Delay control (determines how long
movement can happen before the alarm
signals the pagers)
- Internal battery backup in case of power failure
Pager features/settings include:
- Vibrate only
- Vibrate with low volume alarm
- Vibrate with high volume alarm
- Displays flashing LED while paging
- Low battery warning via sound alert on pagers
- Each pager uses 2 'AA' batteries
